On 27th February 2014, WLS organized an interactive session with Ela Bhatt, an activist and Gandhian, best known for founding the Self-Employed Women’s Association of India, amongst her many other endeavors.
It was a 2-hour long animated discussion, that took place at Mrs. Bhatt’s’ residence, and covered her journey, struggles and life’s lessons. Mrs. Bhatt shared and the participants devoured, her views on contemporary issues facing women and the society at large.
So animated was the discussion that time ran short. The enthusiastic response received has encouraged WLS to work towards arranging more such events in the coming year.
